Auditions for Candlelight Dinner Playhouse 08/30/2009
FYI--There are upcoming auditions for Scrooge and Clue at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse. The information is below. I suggest calling to see if they are casting your age/voice type in these auditions. --Sarah Musical Auditions: The Candlelight Dinner Playhouse will hold combined auditions for the two musicals Scrooge and Clue on Monday, September 21, at the theater. These productions will be directed/ choreographed by Scott Wright (Scrooge) and Brian Burron (Clue), with musical direction by Troy Schuh. Roles are available for Equity and Non-Equity Actors, Singers and Dancers. Auditions are by appointment only and can be made by calling the box office at 970.744.3747. The role of Scrooge has been cast. Equity appointments are from 10 am to 11:30 am. Open audition appointments are from 12 pm to 5 pm. Auditioners should prepare 16 bars of two contrasting songs in the musical theater genre. Bring Headshot/Resume and sheet music in the key you will be singing in. An accompanist will be provided. No taped accompaniment or a capella singing will be accepted. Equity members must have current ID card. Scrooge opens on November 13, and runs through December 27. Rehearsals will begin in late October. Clue opens December 31 and runs through March 7. Rehearsals will begin in mid December. Scheduling Lessons for Fall 08/12/2009
Hello everyone! Wow, it is the middle of August and we are already back to school next week. I hope everyone had a relaxing and refreshing summer! I will be at school on Thursday, August 20th to meet with you during Vocal to schedule our lesson times for the fall. I will be teaching on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you happen to know your schedule already and have any special requests for a time, please shoot me an email and we'll get you scheduled. If you already know of any open periods in your school day, we will try and get your lesson scheduled during that time. Additionally, if parents/students have decided upon desired lesson length for the year, please let me know so I can make sure I have enough hours booked on campus. If you have questions about what is an appropriate lesson length for you or your child, just give me a holler! Summer Lessons 06/06/2009
I'm excited to announce that I'll be teaching summer voice lessons on Monday mornings at DSA. If you are interested in getting a jump-start on your lessons, give me a shout and we'll get you scheduled. Lesson fees for the summer are the same as during the school year, $45/hour. Welcome! 06/03/2009
